What are the rules on the double file restarts? If you go to the 1:43 mark on the Chico highlights BK
jumps the row in front of him in the middle of turns three and four. Has anyone been sent back this
year for jumping, these restarts look like a free for all.

As I understand it, the pole sitter starts the race and can do so anywhere he chooses in turns 3 and 4. BK blatantly jumped that start and totally handicapped everybody in the inside row. I couldn't believe they didn't call it back for a restart! Grossly unfair, IMO.

What happened to the rule of not passing a car before the flag stand? What is the rule in KWS rules book? BK clearly advances his position before exiting turn 4. Once we understand the rule for the non front row cars, we should know what the call should have been by the race director.

Double file restarts you can pass whenever you want. You guys should brush up on the rulebook.

Which is clearly why the questions were posed.

You know, there are arguments all ways about single file restarts, double file restarts, but I am glad to see racing where when one guy is GREEN, everybody is GREEN. The handicapping of anybody in back of the pack to wait till a certain point of real estate before he/she can begin racing is nonsense.
Sure, double file starts can lead to more yellows and crashes, but it is up to the racers to figure this stuff out and make it work. They begin every race with a double file start, don't they.

Double file restarts, leader has the choice of starting position either inside pole or outside,
theres two cones one in middle of turn 3 &4 the other at turn 4 the leader starts anywhere between the two cones, the person next to leader can not pass the leader untell the leader passes the second cone,
if the yellow comes out after the first attempt of double file restarts and they do not complete a lap they go to single file restarts, if they complete a lap and yellow comes out it's back to double file restart.
Hope this helps
Richard Brown (I like double file restarts)
