Alexander got caught in a mix-up early but restarted. Troy came through to run as high as second in a very exciting, race-long duel with Danny Faria, but was nicked in the final two laps and fell back. Justyne fought off a number of challengers and pulled up to fourth. Chris did a near-miraculous job on the track, considering wet weather for weeks and weeks right up to yesterday. Pretty good crowd in the stands by the time the heats got underway. Also in the field: Rusty Carlile, Marcus Niemala, Russ Gutierrez.
