I love the format but there is one part that makes no sense to me:

“B” MAIN: 25 laps, 24 cars line up according to points, with top6 cars inverted. 20 cars, 21st thru 40th in points, plus 4 transfers from “C” Main. Top 4 finishers transfer to Saturday “A” Main. No points awarded. why do they invert 6 in the b main if there is no points and these guys are trying to getin to the a main so the 21st person that is in points before saturday mains missed the mains by 1 spot but then has to start 6th in b and only top 4 transfer that just dont seem to be right does it? all other parts of the format i love but im puzzled by this one

Why invert six, take four in the B main? To make it a better show...remember the Trophy Cup is designed for the fans to enjoy.

As a car owner this invert makes no sense. The top four point cars in the semi all missed the show.

How does that make it a better show?

Drivers have to race their way into the next main by passing other cars. That is a basic premise of the event.

This year was unusual in that the B main was overloaded with cars usually in the A main. If you look at the entry list, there are way more than 24 cars that one could consider A main type cars. No matter how you format it, some very good teams are not going to make a Trophy Cup A main.

With your logic why not invert the whole B main? In fact if you miss the main by one

car why not start at the back of the D main?

Then D-mains and C-main all line up were by straightup points, so why the change for the B-main? The B-main is not a race for points only to transfer to the A-main, so why is the 21st car in points being penalized 6 spots. I could see if there were points added to the race and combined with points already earned, but thats not the case and makes zero sense whatsoever.
