Read at R1 the R19 team is done at the end of the season.
Says Haud will be driving the #83 for Roth in 2011.
Interesting!

No inside scoop its a little thing called the internet. IBRACN. COM had posted that story sometime ago.

Not disagreeing that the kid doesn't have the stuff, because he is good, I don't think you replace TK with Larson in the Roth 83 car. TK has shown this year something like 15 Cali wins this year that he is better than Larson is. Larson has finished ahead of TK something like once or twice this season, so why would you replace him with someone who isn't beating him every week?

IMO, the Roth car is a mixed bag....almost always starts off the year strong, but fades as the year progesses(at least the 410 does....). And the ejection car in the seat almost always fires, usually at the Gold Cuip(witness Shane Stewart in 2008 and TK this year). While it may be competitve locally, the WoO is another deal. Are they investing in freshening motors and equipment as the year goes along, or does the budget prevent such spending?
And I know that Dennis Roth has a lot of money and that he spends a lot of money - but maybe he's operating under a self-imposed budget.......
Chuck.....

Chico Cherokee, you obviously don't go to a lot of races nor have any clue to what you are talking about to make a stupid statement such as this, why would you even compare the two? Haud by far is a much more successful experienced driver than Larson. So for you to say he would have more success makes you sound as dumb as your statement.

goracin...I think you are too hard on Cherokee.
Larson is an up and coming driver...will need good owner.
Haud is on the way down in his career. Nothing to be upset about. Happens to all of them.
I don't know if Larson is the "guy" or not but I would not put Haud in the car.
Just my rambling thoughts.

As a fan I've watched some very entertaining drives from Haud for a long time. As a car owner, you know what you will get from the guy. Haud isn't done, but he won't give you more than he has already shown. If you want to pick a young and upcoming guy, then Larson has to be on your list. It all depends on what your goals are as an car owner.
And besides, I think Larson happens to be in a pretty damn good car. So what is all the talk about the 83?

Sure glad Jason Meyers has 10 WoO wins, because if he only had 5 wins like Haud does, he would be considered way down in his career.

why would anyone want to see larson in "the penalty box"? why would anyone want to see a young driver in a situation where the owner goes through a roller coaster of emotions from week to week and you never know if your last lap in the car will be your last lap in the car? a young driver needs to know he will have the chance to race from week to week without having his ass chewed out for running second.
as far as roth goes, i would think he is looking for someone he can put in the car that knows the tracks and can go run them right out of the box without going through a learning curve. larson isn't that guy...not right now anyway. nothing against him, but he will need time to learn the tracks and just how to race with those guys night after night AND be out on the road. so you want to throw a young driver like larson to the wolves driving for the country's most fickle owner?

Well... I hope I glad I was heard.... Haud for my buck... is one of the most exciting drivers
there is.... but he'll win some but he will definitely wreck some.... it is his style of racing....
TK is in very similar.... Love to watch both of them..
this kid Larson is fast and smooth.... and from what I have seen .... keeps his nose clean....
would love to see what he could do on WoO trail....
Look at Meyers.... he was never dominant... very good... fast and smooth....
and he is now the WoO champion...
Head to head yes TK has beaten the kid several times.... but TK is not a good points racer...
neither is Haud.... I think Kyle could be a top 10 in points racer with the WoO ... next year
or very soon....
