Blake Robertson Excited to Race at Thunderbowl Raceway This Saturday Night
Visalia driver Blake Robertson will make his 2007 racing debut this Saturday night at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare. The Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway will host the annual Pombo/Sargent Classic this Saturday night April 28. Robertson will be driving the Paul Silva #57 sponsored by ProBilt Construction and BR Motorsports. Robertson also announced that this team would also enter the Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial event on Saturday May 12.
Robertson is the owner of BR Motorsports located in Visalia, CA. They are a family owned and operated business. Robertson himself is a former National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year and a Silver Dollar Speedway track champion. Silva is a respected car owner and crew chief. Silva has worked with many top-notch drivers including World of Outlaw driver Danny Lasoski and three-time NST champion Roger Crockett. Silva has numerous main event wins all over the country.
Together the two will team up for a handful of big races this summer throughout the Central Valley and Northern California. "I am looking forward driving for Paul and hopefully we will be fast every time we hit a race track this summer," said Robertson.
Many of the old time cars from the Pombo/Sargent era will be on hand during the night to turn some exhibition laps. This always brings back some great memories for many of the long time race fans so it should be a can't miss night. The front gate at the Thunderbowl Raceway will open at 5 pm this Saturday with Reserved Grandstand tickets costing $18 and General Admission bleacher tickets costing $15. To purchase tickets call 559-688-0909. First race is scheduled for approximately 7pm. For a seating chart, directions, a list of hotels and more, log onto http://www.tularethunderbowl.com
