Free open practice scheduled for Monday Sept 13 at MRP.
All racing divisions invited.

Marysville CA - September 3, 2010 --- In advance of the resumption of point racing at Paul and Kathy Hawes’ Marysville Raceway Park, an open practice session has been scheduled. Promoter Hawes will open the track on Monday, Sept 13th at 5 PM. All racing divisions are invited to test and tune for the 5-division program scheduled Saturday night September 18th. There is no charge to participants at the September 13th open practice. The grandstands are free as well for spectators.
The support from the racing community has been overwhelming and a cast of great drivers is expected for the final 2 events of 2010. Marysville Raceway Park has 2 MRP Championship Point Races scheduled to conclude the season. The 2nd event, and the concluding point race for 2010 will be Saturday night October 9th. All 5 of MRP’s primary divisions (the MRP Winged 360 Sprint Cars, the Performance Auto Supply Wingless 360 Sprint Cars, the MRP Super Stocks and Mini Stocks and the Pro 4 Sprint Cars) will be featured in both events
These events will bring to a close the MRP point season. Promoter Hawes is in the process of putting together a full season of racing action for the 2011 season. The events in 2011 will include a full season of championship point racing events in our 5 primary classes. Special events that will include the King of California Sprint Car Series are being penned in at this writing. A final schedule of events will be available after the winter promoter’s meetings at Lake Tahoe in December.
As seen earlier in these pages, the scheduled 2010 Sherm Toller Open shows for both sprint car classes and stock cars will be postponed and rescheduled to kick off the 2011 racing season.
Sept 18th the pit gate opens at 3PM. The spectator gates will open at 5 PM with Hot Laps at 6 PM. IMPORTANT: The first race will start after hot laps at about 6:30.
