I leave the state to South Coffeyville for 36 ASCS sprints, 34 modifieds, 22 late models and ? midgets, get home at 3 AM and I can't trust any of you to post any results from any of the tracks that you went too, much less details?
Geez, you guys really let me down.

AH but I did Don, went into the city of Coffeyville to the Sonic. Or was that still on the Oklahoma side of the line? Anyhoot, three hour trip it felt like I went out of state, especially when it was midnight and they still had the midget and modified features to run.

if you made it home by 3am you were doin good david. Don't think I made it till 4:15. The Beacon of Light in the Night screwed us out of our greasy french fries so a 2nd stop was necessary at the mid-way. BTW does anyone know who won the midget feature or how Timms fared in the modified main?

Well, I wanted to be home fifteen mintues earlier and would have if I didn't stop at midway. BUT I am glad I did as there was a really bad wreck in front of Frontier City and it must had just happened as the firetrucks and ambulance had just pulled up from a distance and the highway patrol done a U-turn in front of me to get there. The truck was demolished and looked like the driver was still in the seat. Car parts was all over the road and a semi was parked kinda sideways a couple of feet away. Looked bad, hope nobody was hurt too bad but glad I wasn't any earlier.

if you are referring to the accident that was about 2 miles south of Frontier City I saw that as well. They had got most of the parts off the road and I think maybe even one of the vehicles involved.........didn't drive through that till about 335am though. Musta been pretty bad.

I didn't decide to go until 1:00 PM on Saturday, definately a wild-hair moment.
Yes that wreck was ugly. My head was bobbling side to side trying to stay awake after midnight but I was wide awake after seeing that accident. Guess you could call it "scared straight".
