Other than the three hour rain delay Madera was a good time. There were alot more sprints than I anticipated would be there. I am not sure why the 6 or so NCMA sprints did not run with the USAC sprints like they did last year. Maybe there is a story in there somewhere. Seeing Ryan with a Sprint suprised my a bit. He looked pretty comfortable for his first time out in it. The midgets are always real fast at Madera and they did not disappoint. All in all the racing was pretty darn good. Not to many crashes, good side by side action and everything was done by curfew. The crowd was fairly small and I think that was in part due to the rain and the following cold.
