Well I see the chance of rain in Watsonville keeps getting smaller and smaller on the weather sites. Last night weather.com had an 80% for Saturday and now it's down to a 30% chance. Hoping we can get it in!!

National Weather Service forcast for Moterey Bay and Watsonville at this time reads:

Saturday: Periods of showers. High near 63. Calm wind becoming west northwest between 12 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 44. Northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph.

If the pits dont mud out (the main issue), its gonna be a cold one, lol...

I emailed Ocean speedway and as of this morning it said they are racing and don't expect much rain.

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

We live half an hour away from the track in Scotts Valley. The local weather plus weather.com and accuweather.com are calling for only a 3 hour period with a possibility of showers being 30%. We all know the pits can be a disaster with rain but with only 0.19" if that, it looks like we should have a great night of racing. I HOPE.

Enjoy the short tow Linda. I know you don't get too many of them following GSC. Watsonville is the closest track to me so I'm hoping they get the race in.

We are enjoying our shorter tows thats for sure. Traveling practically every weekend last year to Perris (an 8 hour tow for us each way) was a bit much. We are having a lot of fun racing with Golden State and have met a lot of really nice people. Looking forward to a great night of racing tomorrow.

rain rain go away, I think that we will be ok. It would have to rain pretty hard for us to not be able to race.

 5 Day Forecast

I found this forecast on a bay area newscast KTVU. Look closely- The pictures don't exactly match with the words, lol! The weather is looking better for the Watsonville area and I am glad we are being optimistic.

I want to go racing as bad as anyone else out there but can we please make a safe/obvious decision on this one. It's getting close to do or die time on teams heading that way, by looking at all the weather radars I have seen it looks like it should be raining steady there in about 30 mins. If it starts raining can we please make the obvious call and save eveyone a lot of time and money. Not sure wany fans are going to want to be out in this weather anyways!!

We've had a light, but steady rain here in Campbell for the last couple of hours. Knowing that the other side of the hill usually gets more than we do I would say it is not looking good.

We've had rain in Scotts Valley for the last hour, nothing heavy just steady. It is slacking off now and seems to be just lightly sprinkling. The sky is getting lighter, doesn't look very treatening.
