R.C. Smith in the #2vs captured his 1st wingless spec sprint car feature winning the 25 lap feature event at Petaluma Speedway Saturday May 1. Smith bested a 13 car field with a dominating run to the checkers after he passed early race leader #1 Terry Schank who was never able to get closer than 10 car lengths after Smith took the lead.. A clearly excited Smith celebrated on the cool down lap with a pair of 360 spins in the 4th turn and again on the front stretch. Schank finished 2nd. 3rd was the #41 of David Press. 4th and 5th was the #3 and #3x of the Dupont brothers. Full results should be available Sunday evening at www.petaluma-speedway.com.
