Play Day Scheduled for This Sunday
With the unfortunate weather system that passed through Chico last week, the first chance for drivers and crews to test and tune on their race cars is scheduled for this Sunday, March 21, at the Silver Dollar Speedway. All divisions and types of dirt race cars are allowed to race on the famed quarter-mile clay oval speedway located at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds.
The pit gate will open at noon on Sunday. Teams will have until 4pm that day to get the chance to practice. This offers a great chance for teams to get geared up for the Silver Cup Race of Champions, scheduled for Friday March 26 and Saturday March 27.
The following week will kick off the first Feather Falls Casino / Riebe's Auto Parts Point Championship series. The grandstand is available for families to watch the practice session.
