ALEXANDER WINS AT TULARE, BRINGS POINT LEAD TO HANFORD

HANFORD, CA – MARCH 9, 2010… After scoring the victory last Saturday night at Tulare’s Groppetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway, Visalia’s Dean “Kiwi” Alexander sits atop the point standings with the USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series.
Piloting the McCowan Motorsports #11 Tom Rietz powered Maxim, Alexander finished ahead of Fresno’s Craig Stidham, Tipton’s Danny Faria Jr., Visalia’s Jace VanderWeerd, and “The Central Valley Samurai” Garrett Ishii from Caruthers. Visalia’s Richard VanderWeerd, who also won the 12-lap Semi-Main event, earned “Hard Charger” honors for his sixth place finish after starting seventeenth.
Round two for the USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series will be held this Saturday night, March 13th, at Giant Speedway in Hanford, California on the Kings County Fairgrounds. Also on the card are the Western States Modifieds, IMCA Stocks, and the Bud Light Mini-Stocks. The Driver’s Meeting will be at 5:00pm with Hot Laps at 5:30pm. Qualifying is scheduled for 6:30, with racing to follow.
