Thanks for everything guys.  It was great having USAC/CRA at Kings Speedway.  We look forward to seeing you again...We do own a water truck in case you were wondering...we'll use it next time.  :)

I haven't seen our track that dry....not even after a two day show. We usually have a much heavier track. Things will be much better next time. Up on the stand was not a pleasant place to be...trust me! I'm still pulling out dirt/rubber. The track guys had been reshaping and pulling in more clay the past few weeks....Thanks for coming out.

Great news about the water truck. That was a bit rough to watch last night, knowing how great a multi-groove track can be at Kings when its not all dried out before qualifying. Keep up the good work out there and thanks for bringing the USAC-CRA back to Kings. Looking forward to seeing the traditional sprints and the water truck back at Kings.

Thanks to King's management - we enjoyed ourselves at a first rate facility. To bad about the track and the short main, but in all we had fun.

One comment though. It was difficult to hear the track announcer all night. I realize the track promoters are relatively new at Kings and have already improved so many things there, but your track announcer should be able to be heard to let the fans no what is going on at the track. We were never able to identify in which car Davey Pombo was in or the young man (Kaplan) who had to consecutive wins at Kings with the SCRA. A program would have been a nice touch. Also congratulations to Tyler Brown for a fantastic night of driving. He was very impressive passing four cars (including the leader) coming off turn four.

Thanks for a great night - we got back to Long Beach @ 4:30 a.m.

First and foremost use the water truck on the Race Track! I've been going to Hanford for 20 plus years and have never seen such a piece of crap race track the entire time I've went there,so let's make sure that doesn't happen again.

Second, do us a favor and leave at least one,or better yet both of the support classes {oh,I forgot we were actually a support group to the late models}at home,so as we can run our full scheduled 30 laps of racing{not 19 laps}. I believe you would have seen an entirely different outcome in the finish of the main event providing we would have gotten to run our full 30 laps.Oh,but you did have time for a couple of different trophy presentations though.That makes since,lets do trophy presentations instead of running a full race. I just about forgot this one,isn't 40 bucks for a pit pass a bit high? I guess being a member of a racing association that is there to entertain people and to help you make money doesn't warrent a little price break in our pit passes.Here again,it looks like us racers our paying our own purse!

I totally agree; it just does not make sense for the late models to run 2 B mains and a qualifier. Indeed, it seemed like the USAC/CRA sprint cars took a back seat to the Western All-Stars, which does not make any sense since practically all of the fans left after the USAC/CRA main. I realize the promoters want to make money, and draw a big crowd, but when it comes at the expense of good, quality racing, I question their rationale. I implore the powers that be, if they are reading this, please do not schedule the late models with our beloved USAC/CRA sprint cars, it just serves to alienate the fans, like myself, who enjoy quality sprint car racing.

After that fiasco, you won’t see me traveling from Riverside to attend anything at Kings Speedway again.  And, good luck at getting anywhere even close to the  25 USAC/CRA car count who showed up this time.  You had your chance to prove that the new Kings Speedway was going to get it right and you failed.   Track preparation: non-existent!  What the heck were you thinkin’!   Then when you started wasting race time on “promotional stunts” we just automatically thought you knew you were not going to make curfew and you just decided to accept it.  Then you truncate the USAC/CRA main event, and then go over curfew anyway so you could run the stockers!  What the heck were you thinkin’!   Sure makes me appreciate the shows we get at the PAS! 

One last thing:  If I offended any of the fans when I turned around and flipped-off the control booth (yea, that was me) then I apologize.  If on the other hand, I offended anyone in the booth, I have nothing to apologize for, as that was my intention.  I was just reacting in kind.

 

Only thanks I have are for the drivers, who tried their damndest to make the best of a bad situation!

Sorry you guys didn't have a good time.  Glad you had a safe drive back home....

It was unfortunate when the we were told to cut the main.  I'm a race fan first and official second.  Always been a die hard sprint fan.  The track management felt 47 minutes for 14 laps was a little excessive.  So they approached the stand and gave me the call to cut it to 20.  On the bright side we finished the last 6 laps (of 20) in 7 minutes.  I hope I get the chance to work with all of you and your officials again.
