after some preseason test flights jason newton finally debuted his wright one construction/valvoline shark/maxim #31 at ocean speedway on fri march 23. the former 600 driver and new sprint rookie won his first ever race on the track,taking home a heat win that saw him coming home in front of 2 good friends brad furr and jeff delte. jason then raced to an 11th place finish in the time shortened a-main while wrestling with a tight car that wanted to head for the wall under power. jason kept it off the wall and in the dirt to bring home a straight piece that can be tinkered with to hopefully finish better in the next wright one 360 race at ocean on fri april 6th. hope to see you all there!
