Sunday night at Williams Grove saw Lucas Wolfe walk away unhurt from one of the worst crashes I have ever seen there. I don't know if he was wearing a HANS device (or a similar product), but I thought for sure he had to be hurt when the crash first happened. Just wondered how prevalent are head-and-neck restraint systems among Sprint Car drivers? Does any series mandate them?

USAC/CRA mandates one of three options including the HANS
I can fix that.

I am far from knowledgeable in this area - but I've heard that rather than HANS - some of the others are preferable for most sprint accidents - as most of them are of the flipping nature. HANS is great for head on accidents. Again - just what I've heard. Do some research before buying any of them.

All safety items have +/- BUT its the whole setup. The seat, the belts, the chassis, etc.... Call Butler Seats!! They can answer all of your questions.

I understand that Lucas was wearing a HANS device.
