I had the priviledge of knowing Dale Reed, and had the great pleasure in seeing him race many times in my younger years. He worked as a truck driver for my father at Jones Truck Lines. In the years after his retirement from racing and from trucking, I would see Dale at the races in Wichita, and at the "CHILI BOWL." Dale was a great asset to racing in the midwest, and a class gentleman.. He will truly be missed..

Wow, I had no idea about this one. Like rush, I got to see him race many times and was fortunate to get to know him more at the Chili Bowl over the years. A really nice guy that will be missed.

When I was a kid, I thought it was so cool that my dad new a race car driver! Dale worked with my father at Jones Truck Lines so it was always a special treat to see him at the race track. As the years progressed we always enjoyed seeing him at the various events in the KS. OK. area.. Dale was a great competitor a wonderful warm man and I'll miss him very much..

thats too bad. I never had the pleasure of watching him race as I'm only 24. But my father watched him for years drive the 6 car and later one of the OFIXCO cars. One can only hope of the veteran drivers that news like this is few and far between.
