Nice to see Jon signed on for another three years. Your efforts this summer and the promoting of racing at Jackson Speedway this last year was pretty impressive. Congratulations Jon!!

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, approved the recommendation of the County Racing Advisory Committee to renegotiate the lease agreement for the Jackson Speedway with current promoter Jon McCorkell of McCorkell Racing Enterprises. The new deal is a three year term running from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2012 with an annual lease payment of $6,000. The Board approved the recommendation on a unanimous vote.
The County Racing Advisory Committee includes Jeff Heser, Dennis Frodermann, Doug Johnson, Don Benda, Commissioners Bill Tusa and Roger Ringkob, and County Coordinator Janice Fransen as an ex-offiice member.

I'll second what Chuck says, congratulations Jon. I remember you mentioning this at the Fall Classic drivers meeting that the decision was pending and that has been on my mind ever since. On behalf of Dan Plan from the Midwest Racing Connection as well as all the publications I contribute to and my website I think they will all agree that it is a pleasure working with you. I'm looking forward to vising Jackson many more times in the future.
