Sat. Sept. 26-2009- Final event of the year for Arlington Raceway. A beautiful sunny afternoon and a very pleasant evening. Rain all day on Friday & into the evening helped set the stage for a muddy pits and natural watered track- The crew got it worked in and a full day of events were held starting with the Go-cart heats-features & go cart mechanic races; Then compact race & Powderpuff Enduro. Then On to the Mid mod heats; Hobby B feature,Hobby A feature, Mid Mod Feature, IMCA Stock Car feature; IMCA Sprint Car Feature & IMCA Mod Feature; & Mechanic races in all divisions. Also had an auto cross heat race & feature, Chain racing, Trailer races & wound up with a Demo Derby for the final event in front of the grandstand. The Promoters then hosted a Party with live music-food & beverages. The Oestreich Racing Team sponsored hard charger Awards to each class as a Tribute to Gretchen Carlson-(mother & relative).
