INDIANAPOLIS – No less than seven guests are expected to call in to the two-hour USAC Racing show Monday on RaceFanRadio.com.
Among those are USAC Silver Crown Series presented by K&N Engineering drivers Tracy Hines and Marc Jessup as the two will fight for the pavement opener Friday at Homestead-Miami Speedway in southern Florida. Both drivers will be making their initial appearances in the new generation cars, Hines in A.J. Foyt Enterprises’ No. 14 and Jessup in the No. 2 Johnny Vance mount. Jessup will also reveal several other intentions for the 2007 season.
In addition, Charles Davis Jr. and Nick Carlson will talk about their feature victories over the weekend on the West Coast. Davis won the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series race at Manzanita Speedway, while Carlson opened the California Ford Focus Dirt schedule up in Victory Lane at Ventura Raceway.
Silver Crown car owner Steve Weirich will talk about his addition to the RW Motorsports camp, as he expanded to a two-car effort both on pavement and dirt for 2007. And former California Ford Focus champion Chris Rahe, who piloted his family owned Western Midget to a Top-5 finish last month at Manzanita, will join the show as well.
As usual, USAC/CRA PR Coordinator Robert Mayson weighs in on the previous weekend’s race and discusses what fans expect to see in the next race. And the weekly Fatheadz Trivia Challenge question will be asked at 8:30 p.m.
Host Rob Klepper will announce news and results throughout USAC during the opening 15 minutes and also field listener emails and phone calls for the show, which begins at 8 p.m. EST. Listeners may email their comments or questions to [email protected] or call in at 1-866-376-4720.
