Round Table Pizza to host “PlacervilleSpeedway” Night this Tuesday

PLACERVILLE, CA – It’s a big week of racing ahead for ASA Sanctioned Placerville Speedway with Wild Winged Wednesday” on tap this week featuring the Civil War Sprint Car Series. Valley Pizza Incorporated and the West Placerville location of Round Table Pizza is joining the fanfare this week as they present ‘Placerville Speedway Night” on Tuesday, July 21, the evening before Placerville Speedway’s biggest weeknight event.
On Tuesday from until 8 p.m families can come to the Round Table Pizza at 3975 Missouri Flat Road (in the Safeway shopping center) and meet local sprint car drivers Brandon Angus, James Sweeney and Scott Russell and have the opportunity to see their cars on display in front of the local pizza restaurant.
Race fans that bring a ticket stub from Placerville Speedway will have their choice on Tuesday night to receive 15 percent off their entire order or receive a free soda with the purchase of their already discounted dinner buffet that is $7.99 for adults and $4.99 for children.
Round Table Pizza is Placerville Speedway’s newest promotional partner in the community. For the last three weeks the company has awarded free personal pizzas to more than fifty different fans during racing events. Tuesday’s event is a great example of the business community working together with the promoters of Placerville Speedway to promote both auto racing in El DoradoCounty and business growth in tough economic times.
“We’re proud to be working with Round Table Pizza and very excited about their effort to help promote our sport,” said Bill Sullivan of Handy Racing Promotions Inc, the management team for Placerville Speedway. “In our current economic times it’s refreshing to see businesses reach out to the racing community. We would like to encourage everyone to come out and support those who support us. This sport is all about teamwork and Round Table is definitely on our team.”
Tuesday night race fans can gather for pizza, salad and great conversation as these three local drivers will be on hand. For youngsters it’s a great opportunity to see these awesome winged race cars up close and sit in the driver’s seat.
“Our pit area is always open after the races, but often times it’s just too late at night for some of the younger kids to visit with their heroes,” added Sullivan. “When you see the look in a youngster’s eyes when he or she gets to actually sit in a race car and meet the driver it’s very special to them, this is the stuff dreams get built on. Our drivers are very friendly and love to meet the public. We thank Round Table and all of these drivers for this event where racing can come together with family pizza night.”
Brandon Angus is a second generation sprint car driver that is learning the ropes of dirt track racing as he follows in the footsteps of his father Dave Angus, a former stock car driver and sprint car driver himself.James Sweeney is a former Rookie of the Year at Placerville Speedway and one of the facilities most popular young drivers who finished second Saturday night. Scott Russell is a former Civil War Rookie of the year and currently holds second place in the 2009 championship series here.
Tuesday’s event will begin at and will conclude at Round Table Pizza is located at 3975 Missouri Flat Road in Placerville.
