Rough and no way official finish for any of this. Our normal announcer was gone, the scoreboard is still not working, so check the www.IRASprints.Org site later this morning for the Official stuff.

29. Todd Daun, Daun 36, 20.609 [5]
30. Bill Wirth, Wirth 53W, No Time
31. Steve Meyer, Meyer 85M, No Time.

Daun suffers the left side board on the top wing collapsing on the beautiful Carriage Auto Body sponsored machine during his warm up lap for qualifications and was duly hindered-with a single lap. Wirth and Meyer busted out hot lap sessions, but suffer from mechanical issues.

Lane Automotive Heat Race (8 Laps)
1. Ty Bartz [2]; 2. Terry McCarl [6]; 3. Phillip Mock [1]; 4. Scott Biertzer [5]; 5. Todd Hepfner [3]; 6. Dave Uttech [4]; 7. Nick Alden [7]; 8. Tim VanDerVere [9]; DNF-Matt VanDerVere [10]; DNF-Scott Uttech [8]. DNS-Steve Meyer.

Meyer is done for the night. M. VanDerVere spins through turns 1-2 on the initial start only to be upstaged by S. Uttech upside down the backstretch. It seemed light enough-he was pushed pit side on all fours. Hepfner had half-spun near that issue and was able to restart. Bartz with the lead over Mock, Biertzer, McCarl on the restart and the distance. McCarl takes the 2nd spot using the low line through turns 1-2 by the 2nd lap. Bartz had clear sailing by the 4th lap and the field was single-file. M. VanDerVere ducks into the infield on the final lap.

VMAC Racing Heat Race
1. Donny Goeden [1]; 2. Scotty Neitzel [5]; 3. Andy Hunt [2]; 4. Billy Balog [6]; 5. Joe Symoens [3]; 6. Billy Hafemann [4]; 7. Billy Warren [7]; 8. Todd Daun [10]; 9. Scott Lenz [8]; 10. Kirk Fehrman [9].

Goeden with the lead out of turn 2 and the distance. Hunt, Symoens, Neitzel, Balog in-tow. Neitzel takes the 3rd spot through turns 1-2 beginning the 2nd lap. Fehrman is lapped around one-to-go and creates a log jam through turns 1-2 for the 2nd-5th spot. Neitzel ducks to the low line and into the runner-up.

Diversified Machine Inc. Heat Race
1. Robbie Pribnow [4]; 2. Mike Kertscher [6]; 3. Todd King [2]; 4. Mike Reinke [5]; 5. John Haeni [1]; 6. Russel Borland [7]; 7. Brandon Thone [9]; 8. Cainen Riemann [8]; DNF-9. Bill Wirth [10]; DNF-10. Davey Heskin [3].

Most competitive of the three Heats on paper. King with the initial lead until called back by Officials. Haeni with the advantage on the second try until Heskin smacks a water barrel low in turns 3-4 and stalls with obvious damage. He was Ok, but done for the night in a less than memorable debut here. King leads Pribnow, Hepfner, Kertscher, Reinke and Borland out of turn 2 on the restart. Pribnow and Kertscher take full advantage of King sliding wide on the 3rd lap through turn 4 for the lead and the 2nd spot. Within a lap, the field is single-file. Pribnow allows Kertscher a chance for the win on the final lap after getting just a bit wide through turns 3-4.

Behling Racing Equipment B Feature (12 Laps)
1. Nick Alden [1]; 2. Tim VanDerVere [6]; 3. Scott Uttech [3]; 4. Bill Wirth [11]; 5. Scott Lenz [4]; 6. Todd Daun [10]; 7. Brandon Thone [8]; 8. Matt VanDerVere [9]; 9. Cainen Riemann [5]; DNF-10. Kirk Fehrman [7];
DNF-11. Billy Warren [2].

Initial start was waved off. Warren with an even worse start on the second try slows him through turns 1-2 eventually stalling on the backstretch. He was done for the night. Alden leads his teammate Lenz, T. VanDerVere, Uttech, Fehrman and Thone out of turn 2 on the backstretch. Alden would dominate this deal. Uttech follows T. VanDerVere for the 2nd and 3rd spots down the backstretch on the 2nd lap. Wirth held the transfer spot on the 3rd lap. Alden catches the tail end of the field on the 7th lap. Daun makes his play for the transfer spot and holds it for the 8th lap. Fehrman slows into the infield ending his night on the 9th lap.

Terry McCarl wins his 9th career IRA A Feature.

A Feature (25 Laps)
1. Terry McCarl [10]; 2. Donny Goeden [1]; 3. Robbie Pribnow [3]; 4. Mike Reinke [5]; 5. Scott Biertzer [7];
6. Billy Balog [9]; 7. Todd Hepfner [12]; 8. Mike Kertscher [8]; 9. John Haeni [17]; 10. Todd King [15]…

Ty Bartz [2]; Scotty Neitzel [6]; Billy Hafemann [11]; Joe Symoens [13]; Andy Hunt [14]; Phillip Mock [16]; Nick Alden [18]; Russel Borland [19]; Tim VanDerVere [20]; Bill Wirth [22]; Scott Lenz [23]; Todd Daun [24];
DNF-Scott Uttech [21];
DNF-24. Dave Uttech [4].
Alternate: Brandon Thone.
Lap leaders: Donny Goeden 1-10; Terry McCarl 11-25.

Pribnow with a great move out of turn 2 and the lead over Goeden, Bartz and Reinke until the Red is out after D. Uttech scrubs the wall in turns 3-4 and gently onto his left side. He was Ok, but done for the night.
Saved Neitzel from a horrible start and moved into the second row for the restart. Wirth had checked into the work area for a moment and was back out. Goeden leads the restart over Pribnow, Bartz, Neitzel, Reinke and Kertscher through the opening three-quarters of a lap until Hafemann loops it through turn 4. He calls it a night plagued with issues still stemming from Oshkosh last month. Goeden leads Pribnow, Bartz, Neitzel, McCarl, Reinke, Biertzer, Hepfner, Kertscher and Balog finally completing the opening lap. McCarl makes quick work and into the 2nd spot using the low line through turns 1-2 on the second lap. Goeden catches the tail end of the field around the 4th lap. Yellow is out on the 6th lap after Pribnow runs a bit wide through turns 3-4, maybe causing Neitzel to check-up and depending on if you ask someone wearing yellow and orange, they say McCarl tagged him to spin into the turn 4 wall. Either way, Neitzel is into the work area with at least some light damage after the issue. “Scotty’s Hotties” are looking for blame which is well voiced. As soon as the 2W is pushed back out, all has a bit calmed down, but the Hotties are still looking for blood. Running order: Goeden (Wirth) McCarl, (Lenz) Pribnow, Bartz, Reinke, Hepfner, Balog, Kertscher, King, Haeni, T. VanDerVere to the restart. Reinke into the 4th spot out of turn 4 on the 8th lap. Goeden catches the tail end of the field again, around the half-way mark. McCarl ducks to the low line through turns 1-2 and takes the lead. By the 12th lap it seemed to be McCarl, Goeden, Pribnow, Reinke, Biertzer, Balog, Bartz, Hepfner, Haeni, Kertscher and King intermixed with lapped cars as the possible Top-10. S. Uttech calls it a night around the 14th lap. The Yellow is out on the 20th lap after Borland spins/stalls low in turn 2. The running order: McCarl (T. VanDerVere) (Daun) Goeden (Neitzel), Pribnow, (Hunt) Reinke, (Lenz) Biertzer, Balog, (Symoens) (Alden) Hepfner, Kertscher, (Mock) (Wirth) Haeni, there is just as many lapped cars running among the Top-10, as King is like the last car on the lead lap and he is maybe 10th-11th. Out normal announcer is not here, so info is hard to come by. McCarl controls the final restart onto leading the IRA in the win column this season with three. Reinke and Pribnow had a decent battle down to the wire swapping the 3rd spot after each other would wash out of the preferred line while dodging into and out-of the lapped cars during the final laps.
