In an effort to accommodate our sprint car teams, the Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series (UMSS) will allow the current leagal ASCS medium 16" tire on the right rear only for the next seven race events. Starting with the Friday, June 12th event at Kopellah Speedway through the July 17th date, also at Kopellah, the teams can use up their medium 16" tires that are currently legal with ASCS
"We are getting fantastic tire wear with our current Hoosier tires, but most of the guys have these ASCS tires in their trailers and since they aren't a competitive advantage over our current tire, we decided to let the teams use them up," stated Joe Kouba.
