does anybody have info on track conditions as of late. from what i was watching this weekend i had both sides of the coin. smooth as glass and rough and tumble.

Where? The rough and tumble certainly wasn't at any of the tracks I've been at so far this season. Maybe not quite as smooth as glass but it has been some of the best track conditions I remember seeing this early in the season for quite a few years. Some years the frost hasn't come out of the ground yet and a bunch of cars get tore up but that has not been the case this season.
Of course it depends on who you talk to. The Feature winners praise the track conditions and the guys that wrecked will tell you that the track s*cked. ;)
