Attention teams: Participants needed for May 2 Civil War Sprint Car Show and BBQ

On Saturday, May 2 Placerville Speedway will host the annual Family Chevrolet Tribute to Al Hinds Civil War event. Family Chevrolet of Shingle Springs is once again the sponsor of this great event, paying a $1000 bonus to win that night.

During the daytime on race day, Family Chevrolet will be hosting the second annual Tribute to Al Hinds Barbeque at the dealership. Last year this event was a huge success with more than a dozen race cars and teams on display. This year the plans are to make the event even larger. The event features free food and live music and gives race fans the opportunity to see the cars up close in grand fashion and have the chance to win free tickets to the race that night from the dealership as well.

We need help from you, the racer, to make this event bigger and better then ever. We are seeking up to 20 sprint cars to put on display this year. Pre event advertising gives us the opportunity to feature photos of your car prior to the event in area newspapers and we are also working to get coverage of the event by Good Day Sacramento.

If your team can assist with this and commit to parking at the dealership between 9:30 a.m. and one p.m. on Saturday May 2, please contact Bill Sullivan of Handy Racing Promotions as soon as possible at [email protected] to insure your space in this great event. If you have an action photo available that you can also send that would be greatly appreciated. If not, we can locate one for the advertising needs.
