I've looked on the allstar web site and don't see where they changed the rules but aren't only paid members supposed to get points for allstar races? Are there really 47 members this year? Wow. That looks like one helluva tour with 47 touring cars this season. Good battle heatin' up between Stevie Smith and Pittman and Lasoski and Shaffer in a tight battle for 2nd. I wonder if all those Outlaws will be at Attica in April then? Atiica is a Outlaw track so they can race there if they want to.

They may be All-Star members, but they aren't running with the All-Stars. I don't think any of the PA cars are going to follow them, not even Stevie. Dewease, Hodnett, Rahmer, Layton, Mark and Stevie Smith....they're all running Central PA, but pay to have an All-Star membership as well. Not sure what the benefits to that are, other than being able to run the dash and get the track time immediately before the A-Main. Pittman and the 25 team are the only quesion, since I know his desire would be to stay on the road, but with a PA car sponsored by PA companies that may be where they end up as well.

Are you some what new to the sprint car racing? There will not be 47 cars touring with the All Starts this year. They will be lucky to have 10 or 12 cars that travel with them and run all the races. After Attica the points will look like this depending on what Daryn Pittman is doing they will go something like this 1.Tim Shaffer 2.Dale Blaney 3. Danny Smith 4. Greg Wilson 5.Randy Hannagan. The Outlaws will be in Texas that weekend and none of the Outlaws will be Attica for the spring nationals. Other guys like Stevie and Mark Smith will be in PA racing. However, Attica will be a good time as the All Stars do battle with the Attica regulars like Bryon Reid, Lee Jacobs, Chris Andrews, Mike Linder, Super Dave Harrison and the rest of the Fremont Attica Sprint Title Guys.

I'm not sure if its still the case but it used to be that if you were running with them in Florida and plan on running a few others through the year, it was worth purchasing a membership because of the lower pit pass costs for members. By looking at the names, I'd say that is still the case.

In the past, they have only listed the point standings for the drivers/teams that have paid for memberships so WTF has a legitimate question here.

LOL some of you (most of you) obviously missed the sarcasm in my post. I was just wondering why they listed everyone who raced in florida with points. I know darned well they all didn't buy memberships. Just wondered when the allstars changed the rules on how they do their point system and I didn't see it on their Webb site. Did they change it to the same rule as the Outlaws where everybody gets points? I don't really care. Just happened to notice this was a different way than years past. Where's that pr girl been? Maybe she can clear it up.

I thought that you had to have an all star membership to run the dash for the extra points. I didn't know you couldn't earn points for the feature either if you weren't a member.

I believe you get points with the all stars if you do run with them, but thats where the membership and amount of races you run come into play. Non members dont get to run the dash as was noted at Volusia. If you only run a certain percentage of the scheduled shows you are only entitled to a that percentage of points payout (if you place high enough at years end). Every year they leave florida a PA guy is leading the all star points. I think in cases as of years before, the OUTLAWS didnt run all the shows like they did this year. Most of them wouldnt run until the last all star night.
do it in the dirt

I just seen on the allstar Webb site that Ryan BUTTON is leading the rookie points. Anybody know anything about this BUTTON kid? Where is he from? Any relation to Red Button? Anybody know if Clayton is gonna run the rest of the season?

I think he's from IL and has been running with Webbs "other" sprint series. I think he believes he could be one of Webbs new boys. I'm sure Webb will make him a star. And to the AllStar PR machine, his name is BUNTON not BUTTON.
