After a much too long retirement, Danny Wood has impressive run at the USCS Gumbo Nationals. Finishing 2nd in a qualifying race Friday and 2nd to winner Tim Crawley in the final. It looks like he was subbing for Wayne Johnson in the 94 car and proved that he can still compete. Wouldn't it be great to see Danny back with a full time ride next year? Maybe the new ASCS touring group? Owners, here's a chance to hire a proven winner and one hell of a nice guy!! "Danny, Come Back"

Not subbing, Wayne isn't in it anymore.

This was on another web site from Waynes wife...
Wayne will be driving the 77x this weekend in Charlotte which is partially sponsored by Ohsweken Speedway/Glenn Styres. This is not the same car he drove when he won the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.
The STN was the last ASCS National points race of the season. The USCS race this weekend is in the 94 car owners "back yard" so to speak and they wanted to race. Since Wayne had already comitted to running with the WoO this weekend, he facilitated the deal between the 94 car and Danny. Wayne has the utmost confidence in and respect for Danny and I'm sure he'll do fine!
