Im anxious to see what 2008 drivers decide to race with the ASCS instead of the Outlaws. I wonder why people like Sides and Bruce say that it all depends on what the Outlaws schedule looks like?

They're probably referring to the World of Outlaws efforts to move some dates around and simplify their schedule. The WoO schedule was built around promoter's traditional events so it's hard to juggle races on the schedule that fans have been planning their vacation around for years. Promoters sell advance tickets and reserved camp sites based on those traditional dates. Fans have to make motel and travel bookings well in advance for some of the biggest shows.

The World of Outlaws schedule was structured around those events when travel was less expensive. Now you've got a different situation with the cost of travel and teams are getting forced out of the tour by increased travel costs. I had heard that the WoO was approaching promoters about some of the dates that are more flexible than the big etched in stone shows to try and cut down on the miles.

They will start in Florida as they have in the past with Volusia and then it goes from there. It will fairly similar as it was in 2008, yet that is for the Upper Powers to choose, not us on the board......LOL

It will be a great year again and look for some new tracks to jump on the trail in 2009

I would be shocked if any WoO regulars (top 15 in points) at all jump down to the ASCS to run in the 360 region.

I'm excited about the double header at Lawrenceburg. Will be great one month prior to the Kings Royal! Hopefully a big purse will up for grabs.
