If theres more than 40 cars on Thursday will the drivers only get one lap?

There are nearly always more that 40 cars on each qualifying night of the GC and they have always (as far as I know) run the normal 2 lap qualifying sessions. And since the GC is a special format race, and the WoO just gives "show up" points for the GC, I would expect that JPM is free to run the normal 2 lap qual sessiions (at least I hope so :) ). JMO.

i think 1 lap qualifying sux.

i think show up points only for the sat show sux.

the gold cup is one of the biggest races of the year. to degrade it by making it virtually unimportant in a points sense sux.
