Cool deal at Lincoln last Sat. Shawn "Big Block" Weaver won his heat, started from the pole & lead 23 laps before finishing 2nd. In victory lane interview, racewinner Jim Siegel said some classy things about his friend & rival.

Can Posse longtimers provide some background ? Where'd the nickname come from? Does he race anywhere else? Where's he haul from? Age, experience, previous racing record ?

Looks like a good story. Thanks for any info.

Just come to Lincoln and you'll wanna relocate. No World of Assholes shit there... ain't been for YEARS... cuz Lincoln caters to NO ONE!

The nick "Big Block" was derived from what the "thin" in society would call "chunky".

Young gun, racing primarily at Lincoln these days.

Lincoln (and general Central PA) future: (already gettin' it done): Jim Siegel, Big Block Weaver (no relation to Bobby Weaver thank GOD), Aaron Ott, John Westbrook...

I'm not a long time PA fan, but friends with another team that runs 358. From what I gathered from them, "Big Block" is running this deal out of his pocket from money he has saved from working at one of the local car dealer parts counters. With that said, he has been tremendously competitive and while everything is low budget, the car looks great on the track and runs well. He has only run Lincoln, but you can still get away with running Lincoln with low budgets stuff. He did start later in the season so he had the benefit of starting up front with the handicap system, but others with a lot more backing haven't been able to stay up front when the flag drops. If your gonna run Port or the Grove you need a lot of power under the hood. Lincoln is a bit of a throw back from the standpoint that low budget teams can be big time teams there just based on knowledge and skill (Niki Young, Cris Eash, Alan Krimes, and Jim Siegel immediately come to mind).

Certainly Big Block gets more out of less than anyone in the area. He also has never changed who he is as a person. Good Luck saturday nite. Maybe this will be the night you can win & retire at the same time!!!!!

When Big Block finally wins one he is going to retire??? Didn't he also give it somewhat of a last ditch effort a few years ago and got clobbered right off the bat, junking the car, and had to quit? Man, I hope he gets one this time before he gets wrecked! He is fast as hell considering who he is up against every week, and how long he has been sitting on the sidelines. Big Block! Big Block! Big Block!
