WInged sprint cars, midgets. midget lites and ford focus midgets on the card tonight.
#43, Bradley Terrel won the 360 sprint A-Main, #17, Justin Grant won the BCRA midgets feature, and #11T, Chris Glass won the midgt lite feature. I did not get the results for the Fords Focus race as they ran a 5 car event. The ford focus drivers are working to grow the class in NorCal. According to the Focus guys - $12,000 will get you a roller with motor.
19 winged 360 sprinters signed in. Notes: Bob Newberry was driving the Riebes #22b and Doug Hunting was driving the Franklin #18. Hunting would do double duty as he drove his own #2 in the midget class. NIck Ringo, Jr in a brand new #7 made his 1st appearance of the 2008 season at Petaluma.

A-Main - 25 lap, 18 cars - 8 inversion - the #69c of Compton did not start. The #14 of Sargent stoppd on the backstretch while cars were getting ready to line up for the feature and was pushed to the pits. He did not take the green flag. Tough break for Sargent as he qualified 5th, made the transfer through his heat, and would have started outside row 3 (6th).

McCarthy hard charger as he moved up 7 spots to claim a podium finish. Geving banged bacstretch wall early into the race while leading after passing initial race leader Terrel in turn 4 . Yellow for anothe car allowed her to pit and make repairs and re-start at the rear. Geving moved up 8 spots to grab 6th at the checkers. Wright, Jr. with a nice run to finish 1 spot short. Showed some impressive wheel stands coming out of turn 4 to almost the flagman. He should think of entering the Gold Cup wheelie contest (if they have one). Terrell on a rail tonight to grab the victory. After the Geving wall slapper to relinquish the lead early; no one ever showed Terrel a wheel and he was able to pull away on re-starts. Traffic never a factor as yellows negated any potential to slow the leader.
