I haven't been to Hartford in a long time, but it used to always be their big fall nationals that was 2500 to win. Does anyone know if that is the case again?

From www.ascsracing.com Northern Plains at I-90 Speedway on Wednesday!
Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (August 11, 2008) – This week's Regional action for the American Sprint Car Series gets off to an early start when the ASCS Northern Plains Region invades Hartford, South Dakota's I-90 Speedway on Wednesday night.
Wednesday's event at I-90 Speedway marks the series' final stop of the season atop the high-banked, 3/8-mile dirt oval and sets up the season-ending series championship double at Brainerd's North Central Speedway on August 30-31.
Harwood, North Dakota's Lee Grosz is just three racing nights away from collecting a second consecutive ASCS Northern Plains Regional championship aboard his grandfather Doug Howells' Wesmar-powered Bergstrom Electric/Hi-10 Sports Center No. 4J J&J.
The driver trying to foil Grosz' bid for a second title is Sioux Falls shoe Eric Lutz, who is just 20 points of the lead in his father's Bruns-powered Dell Rapids Chevrolet/Pontiac No. 5 Schnee.
While Grosz and Lutz battle it out for the title, Dave Glennon, Jody Rosenboom and Jason Tostenston round out the current top five.
Jake Peters of Sioux Falls topped the series most recent event at I-90 Speedway on July 25.
Wednesday night's event at I-90 Speedway fires off at 8:00 p.m.
I-90 Speedway is located three miles west of Hartford, SD, on SR 38. For more information, contact the track at 605-528-6380.
The ASCS Northern Plains Region is set for 11 nights of racing action at eight different tracks throughout South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa in 2008.
The nation's most prominent Sprint Car sanctioning body with a dozen different Regions throughout the United States in addition to the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series, the American Sprint Car Series' (ASCS) 17th year of activity will include approximately 250 nights of racing at more than 100 different race tracks throughout 28 different states and Canada.
Additional information regarding the American Sprint Car Series is available at www.ascsracing.com. Posted 8/10/2008 |
