Luck is right, Myers passed him when Joey and Alley both followed slow cars into turn one. Myers went through the middle and passed all 4 cars just before the yellow came out for McCarl's blown tire.

Glad to see Joey win it, but thought he had lost the race just before that yellow came out. I was pretty sure nobody could stay with him in open track after the yellows.

I hope Joey's luck is changing! He not only deserves to win the Nationals but he NEEDS this win. I was glad to see Jason finish second...you wont find a better guy racing today than Mr. Jason Meyers!!

Is it just me, or, does Joey have a brainfart every time he approaches lapped traffic? I like Joey Saldana, but, I have seen him get a bad case of the "twitches" and lose many a lead upon approaching backmarkers!!!

I think that is all about confidence right now for Joey. Two years ago, I would have said that this guy works his car through traffic as well as anyone. Today and this year, he does look more tentative and unsure on his line and where his car can go.

I think you're right, Oilcan. From I've seen over the years Joey seems to be very critical of himself and somewhat surprisingly he has tightened up instead of loosening up.

"Joey, you freakin' rock, dude! You're already going down as one the few priemere sprint car drivers, ever! You've got nothin' to prove to anyone!

WooHoo, everybody....give Joey some love!
