Somebody on the broadcast said "The last time Steve Kinser missed the A main at the Nationals, Jimmy Carter was president." Then somebody else said things were better under Carter. Speaking as someone who was 20 years old when he took office, when Carter was voted out, unemployment was 8%, inflation was 10%, interest was 18% and gold was $700 an ounce. The only people who had it good under St. Jimmy were the people who had extra cash to put into gold and the money market.

There was an oil boom on, which our prez and his da-da(politician, oilman, ex-CIA director, friend of the Saudis, then future president) were making good money from.

Much of what we live under today was being formed in those days. Jimmy Carter found no allies of real power. He was and is an honest man, the very thing we vote for but despise when things are not going our way.

I would rather suffer with an honest leader than a dishonest idiot. But then, this idiot is getting richer from the crisis.

Why yes, things were better under Jimmy Carter. At least he wasnt a career criminal with the intent of selling our country down the river. I am truly disgusted with this current administration. GW is the worst president EVER, history will prove this beyond a doubt.
Cheers!

GW is only a front for Bush sr. He is only finishing what was to be done in the early '90s.

There is a growing concensus that Reagan was a front as well. Look at the timelines, all the things happening along the way involving Bush over the last 40+ years. And I do mean the + sign.

Bush sr. is only a representative for others who wish to not be so famous. Now it is not really a matter of 'what happened', as it is 'what do we do with this mess?'.

Agreed. People really need to question the whole NEO-Conservative movement that started gaining traction in the 1970's. There is no mistake about it, these people operate for the benefit of money and power nothing else. Oh yeah and one more thing, Reagan was in on all of the bullsh_t. There is plenty of well documented proof of his sleazy dealings. These people are not true Americans in my opinion, they are scum.
Cheers!

1. Sammy is a no-talent redneck.

2. Steve is a traitor to everything american because of NST.

3. The world of outlaws are ran by a bunch of corporate stock car loving flunkies.

4. PA guys don't leave the porch and are only fast at one track.

5. The allstars can't win in PA.

6. Wing sprint car racing sucks and there's no passing.

7. All politicians are scum drinking gutter rats.

There, I've stated the sum of the majority of all the arguements made on this forum in one post so everyone can review one post, in one thread, to make sure they're in line with the forum's standards.

1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 are complete bullshit but, they get rehashed on a regular basis. 3 is debatable and 7 is the absolute truth.

Reagan/Poppy cancelled Jimmy Carter's energy alternative/conservation plans to the point that "Reagan" had the solar panels removed from the roof of the White House.

It sure is nice to see that some other race fans use the internet as the greatest information system ever created. They have been planning for this raid on the US Treasury for decades, Clinton got in the way of it, hence the rancor.

Don't forget, the oil reserves were depleted in the '90s. Are you sure about Clinton? He might have been part of the plan.

Enough with the politicing. Lets remember the Knoxville Nationals are this week. The comment was made to show how good Kinser has been and for how long! I dont like the King but the man is like the energizer bunny.

I agree, Jimmy is the last decent and honest person we've had in the white house and its's been recently revealed that he was the last president that was against the new world order. I guess he should have sold arms to Iran, gave them to Iraq and ran up a couple trillion in debt and he'd be beloved.

The economy may not have been the greatest under Carter but it was even worse before he took office and inflation adjusted wages were much higher then than they are now. Back in those days a person could get a factory job and make enough money to buy a house, support a family and retire all on a single income. Try that today. When Carter left office, the CEO:worker earnings ratio was 23:1. Now it is over 300:1, product of Americas right turn. The rich get richer and the poor have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. The GOP's war on the middle class rages on.
