This was the parade lap at I-70 not long after it was covered with dirt back in 1982

Hewitt in the Howell's 4 , Jac in the Gambler house car, Sammy in the 1n , Steve in the 11 and Wolf in the Stanton 75 behind Hewitt

when that track was real (dirt), it was the neatest sprint car track on the planet!, used to go there almost weekly!

Tim gee in the 88, Shane Carson in the 12$, Leonard McCarl in the 7x, Bill Liebig in the Super 8. those I'm pretty sure of.... 81 Lee James or TJ Giddings? 1x or 47 not sure? Anyone?

Actually Mike Brooks was in the 7X for this race. I remember it very well. He told me that he about crashed 10 times on the pace laps, he couldn't keep the car up on the hill because of the banking.... He also loved the place because it was BAD fast!!!
