I have a trivia question, that I know someone on this board can answer.......What was the FIRST year that Knoxville went to mandatory wings on the cars....I have been going to the Nationals for YEARS, but cannot remember what year this happened... I think it was in the late 70's????? Thanks for any info anyone can give me!!!

Are you sure it wasn't 1982 that they were mandated full time?

I believe it was 1982 after Gary Scott was killed in an accident.
