Jason Meyers (1^st car out to time) set quick time at 11.859 seconds on the banked 1/4 mile. Terry McCarl (5^th car out) was second quick, followed by Donny Schatz (3^rd), Daryn Pittman (19^th), Chad Hillier (6^th), Jac Haudenschild (15^th), Randy Hannagan (10^th), Sam Hafertepe Jr. (21^st), Paul McMahan (23^rd) and Craig Dollansky (8^th). Lee Stark failed to get a time in.

Heat one (started): 1. Hannagan 1x (2) 2. Dollansky 2 (1) 3. Meyers 14 (4) 4. Pittman 21 (3) 5. Shane Stewart 83 (5) 6. Tony Bruce Jr. 18 (7) / 7. Danny Smith 4 (6) 8. Kraig Kinser 20 (8) 9. John Memmer 4m (9) 10. Brad Greer 3B (10)

Hannagan led throughout the 10-lapper. Meyers challenged Dollansky the whole way for a dash transfer using the high side, but was denied. D. Smith and K. Kinser contacted on lap one, knocking them out of serious contention.

Heat two (started): 1. Hafertepe Jr. 15H (2) 2. Steve Kinser 11 (6) 3. Chad Kemenah 8K (5) 4. McCarl 24 (4) 5. Kerry Madsen 55 (1) 6. Hillier 5c (3) / 7. Bill Rose 6R (8) 8. Paul May 71m (7) 9. Tim Engler 73 (9) 10. Mark Burch 1m (8)

Hafertepe Jr. looked strong above a berm that was forming around the speedway. Madsen was black-flagged for jumping on the first start and sent to row two. S. Kinser made a rare run from row three to grab the final transfer to the dash in strong fashion. Burch exited early.

Heat three (started): 1. Joey Saldana 9 (1) 2. McMahan 6 (2) 3. Haudenschild R19 (3) 4. Schatz 15 (4) 5. Jason Sides 7s (5) 6. Chad Blonde 5B (7) / 7. Kody Kinser 4K (6) 8. Tyler Thompson 11T (9) 9. Lee Stark 16 (10) 10. Tiffany Wyzard 5 (8)

McMahan led lap one before Stark came to a stop on lap two. Saldana took the point on the restart, leaving McMahan to stave off Haudenschild for the final transfer. The restart also allowed Blonde to grab the final transfer from Ko. Kinser.

Dash (started): 1. S. Kinser (5) 2. Dollansky (3) 3. McMahan (2) 4. Hannagan (4) 5. Meyers (7) 6. Schatz (9) 7. Hafertepe Jr. (1) 8. Saldana (6) 9. McCarl (8) 10. Pittman (10)

McMahan shot out to an early lead, but succumbed to S. Kinser who mastered the bottom to perfection in a popular win in his home state. Hannagan gained a row two starting spot in the A from Hafertepe Jr. with two to go, and Meyers and Schatz went by too.

B main (started): 1. May (3) 2. D. Smith (1) 3. Ko. Kinser (2) 4. Thompson (5) 5. Wyzard (6) 6. Engler (8) / 7. Memmer (7) 8. Burch (11) 9. Greer (10) 10. Kr. Kinser (4) 11. Rose (5) DNS - Stark

D. Smith led early. On lap three, Thompson got sideways and collected Rose, who got upside down. The restart saw D. Smith leading May, Ko, Kinser, Kr. Kinser, Thompson and Wyzard. On lap four, May grabbed the lead for good. Kr. Kinser's run came to an end on lap three when he stopped on lap five. That restart gave Engler the opportunity to shoot around Memmer for the final transfer.

A main (started): 1. Dollansky (2) 2. S. Kinser (1) 3. Schatz (6) 4. McMahan (3) 5. Saldana (8) 6. Hafertepe Jr. (7) 7. Kemenah (15) 8. Pittman (10) 9. Hillier (11) 10. Madsen (13) 11. Sides (16) 12. Even though the lead pair did not change position throughout the 40-lapper, it was anything but a boring event. Dollansky shot out to a lead on the high side, which developed a good-sized berm that would swallow some more than others. On lap four, Meyers was running strong when he lost a torsion stop. He would return four laps down later, when Bruce Jr. spun. Thompson came to a stop on lap 13, and D. Smith did the same on lap 15 for yet another slowdown. On lap 18, McCarl was fighting in the top ten when he hit the turn one berm wrong and flipped hard. He was unhurt. At this point, Dollansky led S. Kinser, Schatz, McMahan and Saldana. The lead five wouldn't change. One final slowdown came when Hannagan spun on lap 28 after contact with Haudenschild in a battle for seventh. Haudenschild would tag the backstretch wall on the restart and collect a ninth running Stewart. Both flipped and were unhurt. Dollansky held off S. Kinser the rest of the way.
