This Saturday is “Specialized Parts Planet Night” at Placerville Speedway  

$2000 to win winged sprint car feature event courtesy of area recycled parts suppliers 

PLACERVILLE, CA – This Saturday night, bonus winnings are up for grabs at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds as Placerville Speedway presents “Specialized Parts Planet Night” and the 10th championship point race of the season. Winged 360 Sprint Cars, Pro Stocks, Pure Stocks and Midget Lites of the Bay Cities Racing Association will form the four division program.

Specialized Parts Planet will be the title sponsor of the evening, bringing the sprint car victory up to the $2000 mark with a $500 bonus and awarding $250 gift certificates to both the Pro Stock and Pure Stock division winners on this given night. Specialized Parts Planet is known for their expertise in recycled auto parts. Entering Saturday night, Colby Wiesz of Colfax leads the point standings in Placerville Speedway’s Hoosier Tires sprint car division. A two time winner already this season, Wiesz holds a 39-point advantage over Placerville resident Scott Russell. Former champion David Robinson Jr. of Foresthill sits in the third position, 57-points from the lead while Andy Forsberg of Auburn, a four time winner, ranks fourth despite a one week absence. Andy Gregg of Placerville rounds out the top five. 

In the Coors Light Pro Stock division, Dan Brown Jr. of NevadaCity leads the standings. The seven time winner holds a 30-point advantage over Jeff Arbogast of Auburn. Forryst Carnett of Placerville is third in the standings, 50-points from the lead. Veteran driver Dennis Armstrong is fourth while James Boss of Placerville rounds out the top five. 

The Coca Cola Pure Stock division Brian Stevens of Pollock Pines maintains a 27 point advantage to lead the standings over Woodland’s Rick Grunert. Danielle Clauson of Placerville is third, just 41-points front the lead while Scott Grunert of Woodland hlds the fourth spot ahead of Keith Fournier and Jared Vilt. 

The grandstands to Placerville Speedway will open at on Saturday with racing starting at . Adult tickets will be $12, juniors and seniors $10, children $5 and those under six will be admitted for free.
