New York, NY, 5/8/08 – The first edition of the 2008 Knoxville Raceway
Highlights started with some familiar faces in Victory Lane. In the 360 Sprints
on Saturday Night veteran driver Gregg Bakker drove from outside the front row
to secure his first victory at the track. It wasn't without excitement however,
as Bakker was challenged in the closing laps.
The 410 A Feature this week
marked the return of the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws on a rescheduled
visit from last week's rainout. It also marked the return to Victory Lane by Donny Schatz who methodically stalked and
eventually ran down leader Steve Kinser. Schatz out ran everyone the last eight
laps unchallenged. Behind Schatz, 2nd through 6th however was undecided until
the checkers.
