Thanks for the photos Paul. No matter what the track conditions were I don't think we've had a better overall night of racing all year. I mean all 3 heats were great, the battle for the lead in the dash was excellent and main event was fantastic. Heck even qualifying was pretty exciting with Walker ripping off a blistering lap at the end of the session.
I think we've all began to find out that sometimes with todays technology the best track needs a variable like a rough spot or two, which makes it to where everyone isn't just hammerdown all the way around track. The two best Friday night races in Chico this year have had some ruts in the surface and it makes it interesting. Although I agree it's never good to see cars get torn up.
I was happy to see the Central Valley gang have probably their best night in a long time with GSC. Tarlton, Stidham and Ishii all looked good and brought home great finishes. Hopefully they can keep it up as it makes for very competitive racing when we're in Tulare.
Almost forgot, it was great to have Ronnie Day back racing. Wish the night would have ended better for him, but hopefully he can run some more races for Dennis. Also wanted to send belated condolences to he and his family as he told us his mom passed away last month.
