I started this a while back. I listed a couple of my Kinser, Swindell and Haudenschild cars on ebay. Also had a Gordon Molds Unlimited and Wolfgang Weikert car. What can I expect to get out of these cars in mint condition with the original box? Thanks for the help.

It can vary widely. I've seen some 1/18 sprints go for $25 - 50 and some for a couple hundred. Saw a Jeff Gordon 1/24 Racing Champions yellow #16 sell for $525! (I'd sell mine for that!). Depends on who sees them and how bad they want them.

I had them all at one time, when I sold mine a few years back the Gordon car and the Wolfgang car got the most and highest bids on ebay.

I bought a Steve Kinser Superman car about 6 years ago for $125. What's that worth now?

I sold one of those locally about 3 years ago for $150 or $175. I imagine around there up to $200. I hope that the Gordon and Wolfgang car bring some money. Thank you all for the feedback.

It would take someone offering up a lot of cash, for me to be willing to sell any of the cars I have. I guess the sentimental value overshadows the monetary value.

Dang Siveage I got one of those from a guy for around $80 a few years ago.  You got hosed!;)

I also have the green Quaker State Action 1/18th car from 1998 which was the first year run for those cars.  I also got that one for $80 at a WoO race at Pevely about nine years ago.

Bought an Action Kasey Kahne Beefpacker's #83 chrome color 1/24th scale car at Pevely last year for $55.  It was limited to around 500 made.  The burgundy/maroon chrome color makes this one look immaculate.  Definitely one of my faves in my collection.

What ANY car is worth is (A) whatever someone is willing to pay for it and/or (B) whatever the seller is willing to take for it. What someone else paid for one or sold one for can give you an idea but does not mean you can find a buyer willing to pay the same or more. Those guides like Diecast Digest only show what a car has sold for or an average of reported sales.

If you are a big collector, You need to have them insured for book value. I used to check the book montly but have not done it in a while. I do need to get 1 so I can update what I have just in case. Mine are insured.

Bad hobby to have. I've got at lease one of every car made in all scales (1/12, 1/18, 1/25, 1/24, 1/55, 1/64, 1/87 and on and on).

Well, I have bought all but 1 car in my collection off ebay and my winning bids have been from $40-$50 up to $90. Also bought my Haudenschild Krypton car ( which was listed incorrectly ) at a bargain ( to me I think ) for $125.00 I see on ebay a Krypton car listed for sale a $450 ( also know 1 sold for $900 about 5 years ago, I believe that was for charity though ). I also got Jac to sign the wings of all my cars and will do so with the R19 that I ordered this year so if they are signed I think they go for a little more than unsigned.

Good luck.
