With only 9 days until the season opener in florida, Brooke Tatnell, fresh off winning the world series sprintcar title in australia, still doesn't have a ride anywhere for this summer in the US. It's too bad with all the bad luck he has had the last couple of seasons.

It is a shame that he doesn't have a ride! He is one of the nice's guys out there, and he is one hell of a sprint car driver. If i had money to put a team together he would be on the top of my list of driver's. I hope he find's something

Yeah! It is a shame. Brooke sould be out there with the Outlaws. Its hard to believe nobody has offered him a ride somewhere else. He is to good of a drive just to be sitting around watching. MAYBE I"LL WIN THE LOTTERY.

Brooke's US home is 5 minutes from where I sit typing and 40 minutes from Cedar Lake, a weekly Late Model track. The Late Models have added a bunch of $5,000 to $10,000 to win Late Model shows at tracks within a few hours of here. Cedar of course has their $50,000 to win USA Nationals as well as several other big shows. In other words, a Late Model driver up here can hit dozens of high paying Late Model races and still come home to sleep in their own bed. If anybody is going to pickup a local ride around here their best shot is going to be in the Late Models.

Brooke has Sprint contacts all around the country so I hope something works out for him but if it doesn't these local Late Model owners would be crazy not to give him a try out. Pretty much all of the Sprint Car teams up here are owner/driver and don't have the funding to travel much so he would either have to put his own deal together like Travis Whitney and Dollansky or find an owner out of state.

If he doesn't find something soon rumor has it that he will finish the Australian Season & maybe return stateside in March or April.

If this crappy US economy doesn't turn around soon, you'll see some other teams dropping off the Tour before long.

Yeah, I hope he can put something together but it's getting pretty late in the year as far as that sort of thing goes. I haven't heard much from anybody since the holidays so I don't know what's going on with the local racing teams.
