What does Stewart have to gain from this agreement. Sounds like it's all the same 24 team but Stewart is gonna offer money and sponsors. I see what Rico gains but it seems so hands off for Tony that I ask why does he even want to do this.

Likely the same reason most owners go racing. He enjoys it. Tony seemed to be pretty hands off already with the 15. Now he gets to do it with a friend.

He wants to be part of a winning team. If winning is in your blood, you enjoy things like that. Now, here's a team that might take advantage of that ability for H-L drivers to race outside of the sanction.
