Not sitting on the guy but let's be honest he just doesn't wanna race. I get it and it's his choice but just be honest.

What is he being dishonest about? Not everyone who comes from a racing family has to sit in a car until they are 60. If he wants to quit, why cant he? His FB post looks fairly honest to me.

Even though I may not know you, I

Looks like he measured the risks against the rewards, then did what was best for him and his family. I have no problem with that.

That's a tough decision. Trying to step away from something that is hard to do but you love it so much. Like he said in his post he has different priorities now with kids, as many of us have experienced the same thing.

Jacob was always real. Humble, and a crowd favorite for many reasons. I hope he figures out a way to stay involved in racing.

Best wishes to him and his family.

I have to believe that baby had something to do with the decision.  No way I could race with my wife and infant sitting in the stands.  Selfishly, I'm glad guys decide to do it for my own entertainment.  No way I would.  Ever.  Most intelligent people knew something was up with his 2023 decision to step away from the Outlaws and give the lame excuse that it was too much of a grind.  Then, a year later, run the biggest schedule in the country.  Obviously, something has been on his mind.  My guess is being there for his family.   Just guessing though.

From the  Sprint Car Unlimited 90 at 9 today it sounds like the driver is no one is expecting. I will say if it's Tanner Holmes I don't get the move leaving the Tarlton 21.

Using Carl Edwards as an example.  He retired at the peak of his career due to family reasons.  Millions of dollars were lost, as he had at least another 5 good years to look forward to.  I applaud Jacob or family before risk.

I will miss seeing him as he is one of my fav drivers, But it is his life and I wish him well.

Not the 1st  favorite touring driver of mine to hang it up early, Andy Hillenberg and Mark Kinser were a couple I sure hated to see stop racing so early. Joe Gearte (young) , Joey Saldana (fairly young)

My sources tell me Carl Edwards will be in the 1A starting next weekend, weather permitting.

That might have been a good answer on Tuesday, but not today.

I'm 100% positive! The other just hasn't been announced yet.  They might be waiting for the check to clear.
