Outlaws now want 6 bolts holding the tank on instead of 4-this should sell a lot of new tanks and result in an even larger hole torn in the shell in a crash. Also what's with the rule about foam in the tanks?The rule has been there for a while and yet to see anyone running foam? Glad they want safety wire on the 5/16 bolts holding the tanks on!!LOL

You do not just put a bolt in tank, you also put large fender washers on bolt inside tank. You then cover bolt with alot of tape to prevent wear on bladder. It worked years ago.

While they are at it make larger tanks mandatory. Fuel stops suck.

new tanks all come with threaded inserts formed into the plastic-no washer AND the rules says no modifications allowed

Recommended, not required! Also, the bolt size is not specified.

Aearger tank for the longer races would be ok with me. But nobody s note books have notes on the weight of 50 gallons. Might be interesting.
