No Dirt cup at Skagit...
No Gold Cup Chico
But how many will try for the 100k win at Chico for a COOL 100k, Skagit for a cooler 100k Thoughts?
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

...and Chico is promoted by the Larson-Sweet combo now so not being a WoO sanction is pretty much a no brainer.

I have only been around the Outlaws and sprint car racing for a little over thirty years, but if I remember correctly there were some of the drivers that did not like the West Coast swing. For example, for several years even though he was one of the top drivers in the series, Sammy Swindell did not make the West Coast swing. Considering all of the mileage involved, it was probably never a very good return on investment. Like 42 said, this is not recent news as it was discussed when the schedule was released in February.
I think that most on here realize that NWFAN is a High Limit homer, so he/she probably just made this post to stir the pot.

I went in and changed this post headline. (I'm not sure if regular user accounts can change post titles once they are submitted.)
But we don't need a post stating 'WoO backed out of west coast...' when it's not the case.
In any case, I hope everyone out there has a great weekend of racing. There are definitely some great events to take in.

I don't know about the WoO, but if I am a High Limit guy I wouldn't like this streach of the schedule;
July 23 - Learnerville
Aug 7-10 - Knoxville (WoO but they will run there)
Aug 15 - Thunderbowl - CA
Aug 16 - Kings - CA
Aug 17 - Placerville - CA
Aug 22-24 - Silver Dollar Spwy - Chico, CA
Aug 26 - Douglas County Spwy - Oregon
Aug 29-31 - Skagit Spwy - Washington
Sept 5-7 - Port Royal Spwy - PA
So in a little over a month, from Lernerville to Knoxville to Cali to Oregon to Washington, then back to Pennsyvainia.
That's 7000 miles in about 5 weeks. Insane! Probably $2500-$3000 just in fuel alone.

so remember when the WoO used to have some races in Montana? Things change. So they used to race at the 5 tracks you listed during the west coast swing. This year, they are going to 6. So why is that a bad thing, other than you looking for any little thing you can find or invent to show your dislike for the WoO?
