Just curious, not a criticism... but I wonder why in the business model, Farmington Mo won't schedule Powri or MOWA for a bigger sprint car show?  I know they've got a new promoter this year and I know they get good attendance from their weekly 410 show, but seems like they could make money on bringing in one of these series.  Anyone know?

I don't believe MOWA is interested in going there.  POWRI is from what I've heard.  But Farmington hasn't had any interest in any sanctioned show for quite awhile.  I can only assume they haven't thought it would make enough money to be worth the risk.  The new promoter is just getting started so it remains to be seen if he'll give it a chance or not. 

Farmington has been open for over 50 years and is one of the few weekly wing 410 tracks in the country.  Unfortunately their payout is the worst in the country.  It really hasn't changed much in the 30+ years that I've been around it.  Consequently the car count and quality has went down quite a bit over the last few years.  It'll be interesting to see if the new promoter does anything to try to improve that.  

The problem is WoO is at I55 four nights, consuming some fans' winged sprint budgets.

From what I heard Benton Speedway in Benton, MO. have tried to contact POWRI to have them come down to run a 410 winged show and a midget show but the reps from POWRI won't return their call. IDK...just what I heard. As far as Farmington, the new promoter ruffled some feathers at the last even of the season last year in the modified division and have heard from numerous people in all divisions they won't be back. Sad sad because SFCR used to be a nice track that would schedule numerous special shows throughout the season.

Some misinformation in there. The promoter from the last few years is gone. There is a brand new promoter for the coming 2024 season. Darryl Dickerson has taken over the track. He has renamed the track as Farmington Empire Speedway. 2024 schedule still to come. You can catch up on their renamed Facebook page. 

I dunno. Maybe he says that because he never goes to the races anyway. I'd suggest you don't let him troll you  and you can instead talk about sprint car racing.

Weak yes, but it was working. He was getting you agitated and getting the attention he seeks. Best way to defuse even a weak troll is to mentaly put him on the ignore list.

Ya I don't hide behind a screen name either. I'm the one and only Rodney in the whole state of Canada. Come on now Pete! I personally know two Petes with a last name starting with P.

Farmington probably doesn't want to support POWRI as they are in competion with each other for 410 Sprint cars?

The Queens Royal was moved to a mid season this year and payed 10k to win, curious to see what the new promoter does with it in '24, will they move it back to a season ending event, or keep it mid season, and will it still pay 10k to win.
