Disclaimer, I'm from western Canada and maybe my spelling is wrong. I'm not gonna care cause I'm sure you southerners will get the point.
Ok. So we learnt what the Tuscarora was and that it wasnt the Tusky. What is the Nitty and why does it/he/she/they get the honor of branding a sprint car race?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Zack Hampton is a hazard out there at Port Royal again. He is driving way over his talent. He jumped two rows on the start of the B Feature and takes out Kraig Kinser. I was very impressed with him at the beginning of the year by him. But the last half of the year he is way over his head. It's not so bad if he only takes himself out but he's been taking out other drivers also. He needs to calm down and learn to slowdown a little and allow his self to finish races and learn by getting racing laps under his belt.

Mount Nittany and the Nittany Valley are nearby. These are the geographical features that lend their name to the Penn State athletic teams. I believe the Nittany Lions is the first team name in college athletics, other than perhaps colors .

Racing is such a cruel sport. Last week Carson Macedo wins the National Open and $75,000......last night he takes a provisional.

True. I think Sweet took one a couple races back. I thought it would be a good day for Gravel and Logan and Macedo to gain on Sweet since he went to the back but the only gains last night were for Schatz and even he slipped spots in the last 4 laps which is becoming quite common for him

Seems like Schatz is still one of the elite drivers, always close to the front, but lacks top end speed. I know that SBC production engines generally produce more RPMs than small block Fords, don't know if this applies to their aluminum racing versions....

Your 100% right. We where talking about that last night at the race. Towards the final laps of the B he looked a little more in control he wasn't throwing the car everywhere.

Yep. Posse passing outlaws on a fantastic wide and racy track the way sprint car racing should be. haha Close exciting finish and lots of passing. This is what happens when you prepare a nice race track - multigroove racing all over the place, no slot cars around a big cushion that's only half way up the track. Outlaws need to ditch the gimmicky double file restarts though. Like Lance said, it makes it tough when you have to pass the same cars 4 times because of the double file restarts. Kudos to Port for a great track and congrats to the Mad man.
The "Nitty"? LOL I like the sound of it. Mt. Nittany is probably an hour or so north of Port Royal so kind of an odd name choice but the name is very recognizable because of Penn State. Probably why they chose it.

This is absolutely great. This jarhead is starting to crack. LoL. He's losing it. He finally is realizing he's the only member of his little world. I can see some serious therapy for the winged idiot shortly. Port Royal is getting more and more positive reviews and more and more great racing events and you're being blown to shreds.

The "I am BStrawser and I hate how he prepares a track" comment has got to be the funniest thing I've read on this site in like a month.

Nittany actually came from Nittany Media, which was the previous internet/cable provider in the area and first sponsor of the event. Nittany Media has since been bought out, but the name has stuck. With PSU noty far and the mountain chain close, it holds close to the locals and is an easy sell to outsiders as well
