"Dearl unexpectedly passed away tonight. He loved meeting everyone on Facebook whether you agreed with him or not. Racing and selling things were his passions until the very end. I can go on and on but he wasn’t one for long posts. If you want to do something in his honor, wear a racecar t-shirt this weekend. Odds are he sold you one in your collection. Thank you."

On a personal note, Dearl was a part of every event I worked at the STN, LoneStar Sprint Nationals and Cowtown Sprint Nationals, and he was always pleasant, smiling and friendly to me - even in the rough times like when weather would intervene.
He was a great guy and certainly will be missed by fans across the region.
He left a positive impact on so many people he met along the way. May peace come to find his daughter Amanda and his family at this difficult time.
