They did a pretty good job getting it off the track.

Just exactly how hard to you have to drive a truck to abuse a tire on a flat smooth dirt surface such as a racetrack?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Maybe you should talk to their friends or families about what happened. You might get some parts rearranged for your comments.

The only thing that makes me angry is you are not telling the truth as you always put it. You two guys made some incorrect and out of line comments on this when it first happened. We hadn't heard from either of you in a while so thought maybe you both got kicked off here for that.

One could only hope that happened. Guess he/she/they were on vacation. Now we can all look forward to their spite and hate towards one track in PA.

Off topic but Port Royal related. Port was supposed to have a 3 day show for LucasOil late models that was supposed to pay a total purse of $231k. They cancelled the last day so they didn't pay that out, but I saw an advertisement that the Tusky 50 weekend purse is $215k.
On what planet should a late model race in Central Pa pay more in total purse than the 2nd biggest sprint car race in Central PA? The crowds for the 3 day sprint show will be much larger than the lms. I know part of it is the lousy All Star base purse, but give me a break.

Lucas Oil Late Models are considered the 5 star series. I am curious as if they incorporated the sanction fee in to the overall purse? Late models in this area in the 70's & 80's were considered a hot bed of stars & cars. To each their own in preference of race cars.
All Stars are considered a 4 star series by some.
Does it really matter about 16K difference?

I am not sure if the total purses included support divisions. If they do there is no support division for the night of the Tuscarora Fifty and 305's on Thursday which is almost nothing.

Believe it or not, there is quite the fan base for late models in PA sprint car country. I know sprint car fans that turned to late model racing because they like seeing cars pass each other. Late models probably bring more cars to larger events. Yeah, you're complaning about 16k over a 3 day show, I know you are smart enough to do the math, is it that big of a deal or are you just bored?

Which drivers were they? Don't they run rock screens on sprint cars in PA?

It would be like Knoxville paying more for the LM nationals than the sprint car version. It makes no economic sense. LM's have a decent fan base in PA, but nowhere near the crowds the sprints get. And yes they had a huge crowd last year, but only because Larson was racing his 1st late model race.
The sprint car drivers should race for more money. I've said that consistently for years, including criticizing Eldora for paying more to the 50/50 winner one year than the Kings ROyal winner.

I was about to agree with Winged Strawser about the Port being a skating rink for THAT race (not all of them), & now they're bitching about rocks...
Even a broken clock is right twice a day

The Tusky is not the Knoville Nat's, Get that through your head. The way the promoters are laying out the payout must make some sense or it would be different. Drivers are still showing up. Why should sprint car drivers race for more money, do they cost more than late models, do they have to travel longer distaces to races? Seems like late models run longer races, I'm sure that must be easier on equipment. Whats the price difference between a top notch sprint car ahd a top notch late model, since you have the payout figured out how about sharing those numbers with us.

I gotta admit, once you said the information was secret and that only you knew, I was sceptical. You seem to hate the track with an unbridled passion but don't want to name names because it might hurt the track? Like I said, I was sceptical. But once you said that PA sprintcars have rock screens that aren't strong enough to stop rocks, then I knew. I knew that you were fabricating everything.

we were sitting in turn 3 when it happened. i just thought it was one of those sh*t happens kind of things. definintely heard the tire blow out and then i can't blame him for bouncing it off the wall since he probably couldn't drive it. it looked like something might have been dragging through the turn but i couldn't really tell.
i don't agree with wingedspeed/strawser coming on here ripping the driver. i've seen lots of stuff like that happen at dirt tracks. i remember a tow truck at grandview blowing a hydraulic line this season.
