Well it looks like McFadden is going to win it. I think Zearfoss should get the title. I dont understand how you don't race in the beginning of the year for like 8 races and get free points now the title of Rookie of the Year. i think its dirty pool to Zearfoss. He has raced all year and missed 2 races now he does not have a chance to win it. I think its bullsh*t. Sounds like some Outlaw favorites. 

Let me guess, you're a Brock Zearfoss fan. 

McFadden would likely still be ahead on points to be honest. He missed about 8 and Brock 2. So about 6 race difference. It would all work out by year end the way the two are running anyway. 

Actually, he would likely end up 200-300 pts. behind.  

However, to address the concerns of the original poster, regardless of what would be perceived as wrong or right, in this case, the better performing driver would receive the award.  Zearfoss----0 wins, and not a single top-5.  JMAC----1 win, 12 top 5's.  To be clear, I'm not a huge JMAC supporter as I think he is the most over-hyped driver on the Outlaw tour.  However, in this case, I believe he deserves to be the rookie of the year over a guy without a single top-5.  JMO.  Debate away!

Nope, McFadden would only be 20 points behind right now if you took away the 450 point difference in the points both drivers received from missing races. So like I said, by season end, it will work itself out anyways.....

It would have been Reutzel if not for the cheating. That would have probably made everyone mad too. In what world does anyone think McFadden isn't outperforming Zearfoss? I suppose you could argue McFadden is underperforming the car, but he's certainly doing better than Brock. 

I think McFadden is starting to come into his own. Over 50% of the tracks they've raced at this year he's never been to. I would expect him to be very competitive the rest of the year as they head to CA where the tracks are a lot like Australian tracks and then back through tracks like the Grove etc where he runs well. Next year I would expect McFadden to be easily top 5 in points and contending for wins every night. He's to good of a driver not to be. 

Not many times is there 3 front runners in contention. A.R was a lock until he stepped on something as He attended every race and scored some wins. Last night W.J. had his first front row starting spot and I think we all hoped he could somehow pull an upset!

I gotcha.  So, both received 75 pts. for a missed race?  Is that correct?  If so, you are correct, JMAC will pass him soon
